Residential courses

For residential courses provided by The English Manner and/or The Etiquette Connection Ltd, fees are payable in advance with a 50% non-refundable deposit on booking.

The balance is to be paid no later than eight weeks prior to course commencement (this will only be refunded upon cancellation by The English Manner, special circumstances, or in the event of the course not being run subject to minimum numbers).

If a place on a residential course is booked within eight weeks of course commencement then it will be subject to immediate full payment.

The English Manner/The Etiquette Connection Ltd requests the right to occasionally take photos or videos of residential courses, with agreement of those attending, for publicity purposes. These photos can be used on our website, social networking sites, press & any other places deemed appropriate for publicising The English Manner/The Etiquette Connection.

Postponement to a later date (for bespoke residential courses) is considered on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of The English Manner/The Etiquette Connection Ltd. An amendment charge may be applied.

Cancellation fees: up to 10 working days prior to the engagement: 30%, 7-3 days prior: 50%, 48 hours prior: 100%.

Non-residential courses

For non-residential courses provided by The English Manner and/or The Etiquette Connection Ltd, immediate full payment is requested, unless the course is booked more than eight weeks in advance.

For courses in the U.A.E., full payment is requested up-front unless booked more than 16 weeks in advance.

Please be advised that unless otherwise stated non-residential courses are carried out at a date of mutual convenience between The English Manner and/or The Etiquette Connection Ltd. Once a date and venue has been arranged, and payment has been received, clients will receive an email with final confirmation and arrangements for the day. The course will not go ahead until full payment has been received.

Media filming

When applicable, full payment of location fees for all filming is to be made up-front, no later than two working days before the date of recording.

Unless otherwise agreed, all expenses for filming (which for the sake of clarity generally means sustenance, travel & location fees) are to be covered by the production company.

Should a production company or broadcaster wish to cancel scheduled filming after payment has been taken then they are advised that this is non-refundable.

In the event of cancellation or postponement of scheduled filming, the production company or broadcaster is to cover any location or travel expenses incurred by The English Manner/The Etiquette Connection Ltd or any party engaged by The English Manner/The Etiquette Connection Ltd.

Any costs incurred by damage to any of locations sourced by The English Manner or affiliated companies will be covered by the film crew.

Overseas payment for all courses, training & tours

Overseas payment available by direct bank transfer, subject to an additional bank transfer fee, which must be handled by the client.

Methods of payment

Unless otherwise stated, all prices quoted exclude VAT.

Payment can be made by secure online credit card payment bank transfer (Stripe), cheque or direct bank transfer.

Credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express.

All payments received must be in British pounds.

Damages & Breakages

Any costs incurred by damage or breakage to any properties, belongings or equipment owned or sourced by The English Manner or affiliated companies will be covered by the responsible party.

Accommodation for residential courses

Accommodation for residential courses is on a first-come-first-served basis and students may be asked to share when the course is heavily subscribed.

Other information

We ask all students to arrive for the time stipulated on the course welcome information, unless agreed otherwise. The tutor will leave and no refund will be offered for students who fail to show after 40 minutes without telephoning, texting or emailing to alert the tutor or office as to their lateness.

Some of our courses take place in some of London's most prestigious private members clubs, which enforce dress codes. We will be unable to go ahead with the training should students turn up in clothes that contravene these dress codes. We will send information on dress codes (together with all other relevant information about the course) upon receipt of payment. The student accepts that failure to comply with the dress code will result in training not taking place. No refund will be offered.

Video or audio recording of any class, seminar or workshop given by The English Manner and associated tutors is prohibited unless otherwise agreed. If permission has been granted, then it is understood that the footage/audio is used for personal use only and will not be used for commercial gain or appear on any media or social media.

The Etiquette Connection Ltd reserves the right to postpone any training due to industrial action, ill health or any other unforeseen occurrence. The Etiquette Connection will make every best effort to inform the client in time.

The English Manner reserves the right to change or replace any modules on any of the listed courses; where possible students will be notified of these changes.
